Incident Summary: 

On August 2nd at approximately 1812 hours the St Louis County dispatch received a call of a structure fire in the 8700 block of Pequaywan Lake Road. It was reported that the fire was out and discovered by the home owner. The homeowner came home from work and discovered the damage caused by the fire. There was extensive damage to the interior of the residence. No foul play is suspected. The Red Cross was contacted. The MN State Fire Marshal's Office was also contacted and will be investigating. No people or animals were harmed. The damage estimate is unknown at this time. The Pequaywan Fire Department responded and assisted at the scene.
