Incident Summary:
On July 31st at approximately 1833 hours the St Louis County Emergency Response Team was requested to assist the Fond Du Lac Police Department with a barricaded suspect armed with a rifle in the 3600 block of Mallard Drive. It was reported that a male had made threats to kill his family after a domestic assault. While squads were responding the male went into the residence and was seen loading a hunting rifle. Responding officers confirmed he was alone in the house and a perimeter was established around the house and the surrounding area was closed off for the safety of the civilians in the area. The St. Louis County Emergency Response Team (ERT) was then requested to assist in apprehending the male.
Once ERT arrived on scene, they were able to take the male into custody with no injuries to the suspect or any of the officers on scene. The suspect was taken into custody at 2132 hours. Once the residence was secured it was turned back over to the Fond Du Lac Police Department for their investigation.
