Incident Summary:

On July 30th, 2022 at approximately 7:47 P.M. Canadian National Railway reported a train derailment that occurred approximately 7 miles north of Cook, Mn. 

The location of the derailment is in a non-residential swampy area.

The train was traveling northbound with a total of 123 rail cars. 14 of the rail cars near the rear of the train derailed with some of the rail cars tipping over on their side.   

There are no reported injuries, leaks or spills at this time.  

St. Louis County Emergency Management has responded and is assisting at the scene as some of the derailed cars contain hazardous materials.
