Shipley Road in New Independence Township closed due to flooding

Shipley Road, which includes County Roads 734 and 149, has been closed due to flooding between U.S. Highway 53 and Stoney Brook Road/County Road 220 in New Independence Township.

This is in addition to five roads that were closed yesterday because of high water and resulting washouts.

St. Louis County Public Works crews continue to monitor the conditions of the county's 3,000 miles of roads, and make repairs. Anyone who sees a flooded road or unsafe conditions can report it by calling 911.
