Intersection of Hwy 2 and Canosia Road to close for constructoin beginning Monday

Construction begins Monday, May 16, to add turn lanes on Trunk Highway 2 at the intersection of Canosia Road. The intersection will be closed during the project, resulting in detours through the end of June.

Detour signs will be posted, directing traffic to use Maple Grove Road, Munger Shaw Road and Morris Thomas Road as alternatives.

An average of 5,000 vehicles pass through this intersection each day. The turn lanes are needed to make the intersection safer.
