Incident Summary: On February 6th, 2022 at approximately 3:55 P.M.  Saint Louis County Sheriff's deputies responded to a snowmobile crash that occurred approximately a quarter mile south of Hwy 169 near Mineral Ave in Mountain Iron.  48 year old Barry HARTMAN was traveling southbound near a power line clearing area when his snowmobile struck a rock.  Hartman was transported from the scene of the crash by members of the Virginia Fire Department to Hwy 169 where he was then transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth by North Memorial Air Care with non-life threatening injuries. 

Assisting agencies:  Virginia Fire and Ambulance. Minnesota State Patrol, Mountain Iron Fire Department, Mountain Iron First responders, and the St. Louis County Rescue squad.
