Incident Summary:
Area first responders responded to the report of a 2 vehicle, personal injury accident occurring in the 6700 Block of Rice Lake Road in Gnesen Township earlier this afternoon.
The occupants of one of the involved vehicles were treated by EMS and released on scene. The four occupants of the other involved vehicle were transported to an area hospital by EMS with non-life threating injuries. All involved occupants indicated they were wearing their seat belts prior to the collision.
One of the drivers will be issued a citation for passing in a no passing zone. The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
Assisting agencies include: Gnesen Fire and EMS, Mayo Clinic ambulance, St Louis County Rescue Squad and Sheriff’s Office
