St. Louis County seeks applicants to assist with housing solutions

St. Louis County is seeking applicants to help provide housing solutions for families, youth and singles currently experiencing homelessness or at serious risk of homelessness. Interested non-profits - both those who've participated in the past and want to reapply, as well as any new applicants - must submit their Letter of Intent to St. Louis County by Monday, April 12, at noon.

The Letter of Intent form can be found online at stlouiscountymn.gov/homelesshelp. Applicants must fill out the short questionnaire to help the county determine what level of coverage there will be across the county.

To be eligible, applicants must be non-profit organizations within St. Louis County, must participate in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and the Coordinated Entry System (CES) and must demonstrate their ability to expend all funds awarded within the biennium. After an applicant submits a letter of intent, county staff will send a more detailed Request for Proposal application and budget pages for completion.

St. Louis County will be applying for a grant through the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency's  Family Homeless Prevention Assistance Program (FHPAP) for the October 1, 2021-September 30, 2023 biennium. These grant dollars would then be used to fund the non-profits providing the housing solutions.

More information about the FHPAP is available on the Minnesota Housing website at:
