Incident Summary:
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating a 15 year old female who ran away from a rural residence north of the Duluth area. Nia Goutermont was reported as a runaway on September 25th, 2020, and has been entered as a missing person ever since. The last confirmed contact with Nia was with a friend in the Hibbing area on September 27th.
Despite the efforts of family, friends, and law enforcement, we have been unable to locate or make contact with Nia. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is working on multiple leads in the Twin Ports area, Iron Range area, and Minneapolis / St. Paul area.

A citizen tip to law enforcement led to locating Nia in the Hibbing area. Nia is safe, unharmed and being retuned to her parents. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the citizens who came forward with information leading to successfully finding Nia.
