Construction to close access from Arlington Ave. to Arrowhead Road on Friday

Construction near the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Arrowhead Road in Duluth will mean no turning from Arlington Avenue to Arrowhead Road and vice versa on Friday. Traffic on Arrowhead will be able to proceed straight through the intersection.

Arlington Avenue will be closed to thru traffic at Central Entrance. Anyone traveling to a home or business on Arlington Avenue will need to access it from Central Entrance.

The road is expected to close at 6 a.m. Friday and reopen by end of day.

The work is part of a larger project involving both St. Louis County and the City of Duluth. The $4 million project includes reconstructing a little more than half a mile of Rice Lake Road, widening the intersection at Arlington Avenue and Arrowhead Road, improvements to Technology Drive, plus new traffic signals, sidewalks and curbs and gutters.
