Incident Summary:
On 07/14/20 at 1:29 AM a structure fire of a three story single family residence was reported on the 5000 block of Lakeview Drive in Lakewood Township. Residents reported the house was struck by lightning around 1:20AM, then soon smelled smoke and saw flames coming from the eves on a corner of the roof. All residents were able to safely exit the house, no injuries were reported. The fire resulted in smoke damage, heavy water damage, and a portion of the roof burned. The cost of the damage has not been determined at this time. The Lakewood Fire Department responded and was assisted by Gnesen, Canosia, Rice Lake, Normanna, Fredenberg, Duluth, Hermantown, Clifton, Brimson, and the Air National Guard Fire Departments.
