Culvert replacements to close portion of Jean Duluth Road

Jean Duluth Road will be closed between Glenwood Street and Martin Road beginning July 21 as St. Louis County Public Works replaces two culverts and repairs a third culvert. Additionally, the City of Duluth will be relocating a large diameter gas main as part of the project.

Detour signs will be posted, directing traffic to use Martin Road, Woodland Avenue, and Snively Road for the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete by the end of August.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and stay alert any time traveling near a construction zone. An estimated 5,500 vehicle travel on this section of Jean Duluth Road every day.
