Incident Summary: On 6-16-2020 at around 11:19 AM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Ely Police Department and EMS responded to the Ely Municipal Airport in Morse Township for a reported plane crash. Upon arrival it was determined that the pilot (sole occupant of the plane) was uninjured and the Piper Malibu fixed wing, single engine plane had sustained minor damage during the landing.  Damage was sustained to the front landing gear and prop.  The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and the FAA.
