Incident Summary:

On June 11th, 2020 at approximately 4:10 P.M. Deputies from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Officers from the Chisholm Police Department responded to the boat landing and dock area on Longyear Lake in the City of Chisholm, MN. Law Enforcement had received a 911 call reporting a body floating in shallow water near the edge of the shore.

Emergency crews were able to respond and recover the body of a 61 year old male resident of Chisholm, who was deceased.

Foul play is not suspected, but the cause of the death remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office, with the assistance from the Chisholm Police Department and the Midwest Medical Examiners Office.

The victims name will be withheld pending notification of family members.
