Incident Summary:
On October 8, 2019 at approximately 1:15 p.m., St. Louis County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 3300 block of Curt Lane in Makinen, MN at a request to check on the welfare of Frank Gerald MEYER, 47, who had not been seen or heard of for several days. Deputies eventually located Mr. MEYER deceased on the premises. The death was ultimately ruled a homicide.
On June 11, 2020 at approximately 2:20 p.m., In the City of Anoka, MN, St. Louis County Sheriff's Investigators along with Special Agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, arrested J. Nicholas CRAMER, 53, and his wife, Michelle L. CRAMER, 46, for the murder of Frank MEYER. J. Nicholas CRAMER was taken into custody without incident. Michelle L. CRAMER fled on foot and was subsequently located 30 minutes later and arrested. Both suspects are being booked into the St. Louis County Jail in Duluth on MSS 609.19 sub1(1) reference 609.05 sub 1. - Aid and Abet Second Degree Murder. This is still an active investigation. No additional information will be released at this time.
