Thrive Range to host virtual community meeting June 17 to provide progress report and discuss next steps
Thrive Range, a mental health initiative, will host a virtual community meeting on Wednesday, June 17, at noon. All are invited to participate in the discussion as project leaders provide a progress report on their first year of work, as well as proposals for next steps to pursue in the coming year. The meeting will also include partner updates, plus expert training on supporting each other through stressful times.
Thrive Range is coordinated by St. Louis County Public Health in partnership with Dr. Ursula Whiteside, and funded by a Minnesota Department of Health grant for suicide prevention. The initiative focuses on northern St. Louis County where communities have suicide rates more than double the statewide average.
“This is an opportunity for community members to remain informed and provide vital feedback to Thrive Range. We want to learn what we are doing well and what we can do better,” said Josh Gorham, project co-leader.
Anyone interested in participating can do so in several ways. The event can be viewed live via Zoom at bit.ly/thriverange20 or on Facebook at facebook.com/ThriveRange. Comments will be moderated live during the meeting for anyone wanting to ask questions or share feedback. Thrive Range's Facebook page also includes links for people to review a Community Report on the project, and to add community updates of their own.
Another option is to listen to the presentation by calling 312-626-6799 (meeting code 885 3792 4959.)
Started in 2019, Thrive Range and many community partners have been working to increase awareness, knowledge, and access to training and other resources. Visit thriverange.org to learn more.
