County buildings remain closed, Board meeting to be held virtually

In compliance with the governor's executive order, St. Louis County buildings remain closed until May 4, 2020. County staff continue to serve the public via phone, email and online.

Meanwhile, beginning with its April 14 meeting, the County Board will meet in a different manner, to ensure safe physical distancing, as well as public access and transparency. County Board meetings will now be held in a virtual format. All meetings will be live streamed via Webex, giving the public the opportunity to watch and listen, and even speak to the Board. People also have the option to listen to the meeting live via telephone.

Instructions on how to join the meeting, along with meeting agendas, are available online at stlouiscountymn.gov. In-person attendance by the public is not permitted, and some or all commissioners will join via telephone or video call.

"These are extraordinary times that have forced us to find new ways to operate," said County Board Chair Mike Jugovich. "We remain committed to openness and transparency, and see this as a unique opportunity to actually better engage our citizens. We know more people than usual are currently at home, and we invite you all to join us virtually."

For anyone unable to watch the meeting live, video will be posted on the county website within 24 hours.
