Incident Summary:
On March 30, 2020 the St Louis County Sheriff’s Office received a report of burglary at a residence east of the city of Floodwood off of County Highway 8. The homeowners had been spending the winter months out of state. A friend of the owners stopped at the property to check on things and found it had been burglarized. It would later be determined the home had been burglarized numerous times over a period of approximately a week and a half.
Numerous items were stolen including:
Firearms, a side-by-side ATV, a utility trailer, television sets, tools, and a large amount of personal property and family heirlooms holding sentimental value.
Deputies from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Floodwood Police Department conducted search warrants both within the City of Floodwood and the surrounding area on April 1, 2020. Many of the stolen items were subsequently recovered. Two individuals have been charged in connection with this burglary so far.
Forrest Runquist, 58 years old, was arraigned in St. Louis County District Court today for felon in possession of a firearm, and receiving stolen property.
Blake Haverland, 37 years old, was arraigned in St. Louis County District Court today for first-degree burglary (stolen firearm)
Additional individuals will likely be charged in connection with this crime.
