Warming shelter options ready on the Iron Range

With frigidly cold temperatures forecast for the coming days, St. Louis County Public Health and Human Services is reminding people that emergency warming site options are available on the Iron Range for people experiencing homelessness.

The first option is AEOA's Bill's House. The shelter is at 210 3rd street North in Virginia. If the shelter is full, AEOA has six additional scattered sites ready for use.

The emergency sites are available any time the overnight temperature drops to 32 degrees or colder. To learn more, contact Bill's House at 218-741-2063.

The St. Louis Count Board last month approved $75,000 to support emergency warming centers throughout the County this winter. Of that, up to $30,000 is dedicated to the northern part of the county.
