Incident Summary: 

On November 13, 2019 at approximately 5:08 P.M., St. Louis County Sheriff's Deputies received a 911 call from a person who was walking in the woods, north of Virginia MN.  That person stated they had located what appeared to be a dead human body.  When Deputies arrived, they confirmed it was indeed a dead human body.  The body was badly decomposed and frozen.  The cause of death appears to be self-inflicted and foul play is not suspected at this time.  The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.

The deceased person has been identified as Christopher John Quirk, 52, from Chisholm, MN.  Christopher Quirk had been reported missing on May 8, 2018 by family members.  This investigation is ongoing.
