Public meeting set to discuss reconstruction of James Street in Ely 

St. Louis County Public Works is planning to reconstruct eight blocks of James Street in Ely next year, and is hosting a public meeting now to provide details and get feedback from the public. The meeting will be Monday, September 30, at 6 p.m. at Ely City Hall, 209 East Chapman Street. It will include a presentation about the planned project design as well as the anticipated schedule.

The project on James Street, between Central Avenue and 8th Avenue East, will include a complete reconstruction of the roadway, sidewalk, and curb and gutter. At the same time, the City of Ely will reconstruct water and sanitary sewer line.
