Incident Summary: On 7/15/2019 at around 10:15 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with Colvin First Responders, Hoyt Lakes Ambulance and the St. Louis County Rescue Squad responded to a water emergency on Whiteface Reservoir.  A homeowner in the 4700 block of North Cabin Circle heard a man yelling for help from the lake.  He got in his boat and located the 34 year old Duluth man in the lake swimming but in need of help.  He gave the man a life jacket and with the assistance of rescue personnel and their boat, assisted him into a boat and to shore.  The Duluth man was medically cleared and eventually placed at detox.  The incident remains under investigation at this time.  It is unknown at this time if the man had fallen out of a watercraft or had swam out from shore.  No boat was located by rescue personnel at the time and it appears that he was alone.
