Incident Summary:

On June 2nd, 2019 Deputies from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office Responded to the call of an ATV rollover on Rossini Rd, near Pequaywan Lake Rd. The male driving the ATV suffered substantial injuries from the crash. Life saving efforts were attempted by first responders and paramedics, but ultimately the male driver of the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene. Sande was identified as the driver and single rider on the ATV. Sande hit a washout in the ditch with his ATV, which launched it into the air and caused the rollover. Sande was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Alcohol and speed both appear to be factors in the crash, which is under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

The St, Louis County Rescue Squad, Pequaywan Township First Responders, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, and North Memorial Air Medical assisted on the incident.
