Tornado drill cancelled due to forecast winter storm
Consistent with the National Weather Service's decision to cancel the statewide tornado drill that had been scheduled for Thursday, St. Louis County also will be cancelling its drill.
In announcing the cancellation, NWS provided the option for local jurisdictions to still conduct their own drill. However, due to the pending winter storm, and the confusion that could arise, it was determined the best choice would be to cancel.
The tornado drill had been planned as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week.
