County Social Worker recognized by state for outstanding service
A St. Louis County social worker is being honored by a state agency for being a strong collaborator, partnering with state social workers to help people in need. Paul Nash, a mental health commitment case manager, received the Certificate of Appreciation from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS).
March is Social Worker Month, and in preparation for that, the state's director of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Services asked its staff to nominate county social workers who go above and beyond the call of duty to help the people they mutually serve.
"Paul's work ethic and compassion for clients is second to none," said Chris Heazlett, Nash's supervisor. "That Paul was chosen for this recognition was no surprise to those of us privileged to work with him day-to-day."
Nash has worked for St. Louis County for 12 years.
