Incident Summary:

On 2/5/2019, at approximately 0940, St. Louis County Deputies responded to a report of a structure fire at 9617 Swan Lake Road.  Upon arrival, Deputies found a vacant cabin on fire.  The recreational property contained two cabins in close proximity to eachother and the fire spread from one cabin to the other.  Multiple volunteer fire departments responded to the scene including, Grand Lake, Floodwood, and Alborn.

Both structures were a total loss.  The structures were unoccupied at the time and there were no injuries.  First responding units had to plow their way into the fire as the access road was unplowed.

Deputies learned there was an electric heater replaced inside one of the cabins approximately two months ago.  There were no signs of recent activity on the property or the surrounding areas.  The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's office.
