Incident Summary:
On November 21st at approximately 1923 hours the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the call of a house fire in Culver Township. When deputies arrived on scene the home was fully engulfed. The single occupant of the home escaped with out injuries. Several pets inside the home were able to make it out safely, but unfortunately one dog was killed in the fire. The 16 year old female that was home at the time of the fire was alerted to the fire by one of the family's dogs.
Despite the efforts of several fire agencies the 5 bedroom home is a complete loss. The cause of the fire appears to be a fireplace inside of the home, but is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall's Office.
