Incident Summary:
Over the past month, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports of dogs that may have been poisoned in the City of Rice Lake. Owners have reported their dogs have gotten sick without a clear reason, and at least two owners have found their dogs deceased. There is no clear evidence or reason for these cases. The Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be alert for anything suspicious and to keep their pets close by. There is no connection between the owners who have reported these incidents, nor are all the homes near one another.
