Incident Summary: On September 6th, 2018, at approximately 7:29 PM the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with the Chisholm Police Department, MN State Patrol, Chisholm Fire and Ambulance Service, and North Memorial Air Care responded to the 5500 block of McNiven Rd. in Chisholm, MN in Balkan Township for a motorcycle accident with injuries. A 29 year old Chisholm man was driving alone on his motorcycle traveling westbound on McNiven Rd. when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. The male was treated on scene by members of the Chisholm Ambulance Service and then airlifted by North Memorial Air Care to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time. The name of the driver is being withheld at this time pending family notifications. Speed is believed to be a cause of the accident. The accident is under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
