Incident Summary: On 8/23/18 at around 5AM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Chisholm Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 6500 block of Long Lake Road North in Balkan Township.  Upon arrival, the trailer home was fully engulfed with fire.  The homeowner John Sunty was awake and watching TV when he heard what sounded like an explosion in the house and subsequently left the house.  Sunty was not injured and was the only one home at the time.  The trailer house was a total loss.  The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and the State Fire Marshall.
