Incident Summary:  

On June 30, 2018 at approximately 11:56 AM, Deputies responded to the Louisiana Pacific complex (former Potlatch site) in Angora Township regarding a burglary in progress call.  Upon their arrival, Straw was located in the immediate area. Deputies conducted an initial investigation and afterwards Straw was  taken into custody and lodged at the St. Louis Co. jail in Virginia pending formal charges.  Search warrants were executed in connection to the incident, which led to the recovery of stolen property.

On July 2, 2018, Gregory Straw was formally charged in St. Louis County District Court in Virginia, MN with one felony count of 3rd Degree Burglary and one count of Misdemeanor Theft as a result of an investigation conducted by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.  His next scheduled court appearance is set for July 16, 2018.
