Incident Summary:

On July 7, 2018, at approximately 7:00 a.m, St. Louis County Sheriff's Office received a report of a male yelling "help" in the St. Louis River near the Pier B Resort.  A 26 year old male resident of Duluth was located by the U.S Coast Guard approximately one quarter mile from shore. The 26 year old male advised deputies he was attempting to swim across the canal area on the west side of the lift bridge when the current pushed him further into the bay area. No injuries were reported.
