Incident Summary:

On July 4th, 2018 at around 5 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in the 3200 block of Hwy 169 in Morse Township for an off road motorcycle crash with injuries in the driveway.  Martin Torgeson had been driving an off road motorcycle down a long driveway and was later found by family members to have crashed in the driveway.  Martin was subsequently taken by ambulance to the Ely Hospital and then flown to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.  Unknown extent of injuries at this time.  Alcohol consumption by the driver is suspected as a factor in the crash.  The incident remains under investigation at this time.
