Incident Summary:
On May 3, 2018, at 3:33 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Fond du Lac Police Department along with EMS were dispatched to a medical from an assault at a residence in Culver Township. A 33 year old male was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. A 31 year old male that was involved left the scene in a vehicle prior to law enforcement arrival but was located and arrested. This was not a random act, the males knew each other. This incident is currently under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office. No other information will be released at this time. An update will be sent out after the investigation is completed.

This investigation is ongoing, however, the Sheriff's Office is releasing the following:
Joshua John Maio has been booked at the St. Louis County Jail for Second Degree Assault. His brother, Johnathon Gregory Maio (33 years old) of Culver Township was transported to St. Luke's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries from a knife wound. He was released from the hospital the same evening. Several family members and friends were at the residence when the assault occurred.
