Incident Summary:

On April 28th, 2018, at approx. 16:17 hours, St. Louis County Sheriff's Office received a report of a water emergency on Park Point, Lake Superior side.  Initially it was reported that a 13 year old male fell in the water, and was floating on an ice chunk.  An adult supervising the youth group attempted to remove the juvenile male from the water, and fell in during the process.  The adult was able to safely remove the juvenile and himself from the water. The juvenile was treated for possible injuries on scene by Gold Cross Ambulance and released.  The adult denied any medical treatment. 

The Sheriff's Office would like to remind the public that the ice is not safe to be on this time of year.  This includes Lake Superior, rivers and all inland lakes.
