Incident Summary: On March 2nd, 2018 at approximately 1:51 P.M. members of the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and the St. Louis County Rescue Squad responded to a snowmobile crash involving two snowmobiles on the Taconite Snowmobile trail approximately 2.5 miles east of Hwy 53 near Britt, Mn. Chad ELLINSON and Wayne KUEHL were traveling on the Taconite trail and collided head on with each other as they were attempting to negotiate a corner on the trail.  ELLINSON was transported by North Memorial Air Care Medical to the Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical center in Duluth with non-life threatening injuries.  KUEHL was transported by the Virginia Ambulance to the Essentia Health-Virginia hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash is being investigated by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
