Incident Summary:
On 12/30/2017 at 0535 hours, the St Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a structure fire involving a 25x16' work shop at 4813 1st Avenue in the City of Rice Lake. The caller reported there to be no occupants in the building.
Upon arrival, responders found the structure to be fully engulfed in flames. The fire was contained to the work shop, which was approximately 100' from other structures. The owner advised there had been an electric space heater running for several days inside the shop which may have caused the fire.
Fire department personnel cleared the scene at 0852 hours. The value of the structure and contents are unknown at this time but were deemed a total loss. There were no injuries sustained during the incident.
