Incident Summary:

On November 29th 2017 at 8:07 AM, members of the LSDVCTF approached Evan Lautigar in the 300 block of 7th St. South in the City of Virginia. Lautigar was driving an SUV at the time of contact and immediately fled members of the LSDVCTF in the vehicle. Lautigar rammed a police vehicle and led several officers on a high speed chase through the City of Virginia towards the City of Eveleth. Lautigar left the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area between the City of Virginia and Gilbert. Lautigar was arrested approximately 2 1/2 hours later after he was found hiding next to a residence near the City of Gilbert. Lautigar was arrested and lodged at the SLC Jail in Virginia on several felony charges.
