Incident Summary: On November 11th, 2017 at approximately 5:27 P.M. the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an accidental shooting that occurred in a deer stand near the 5800 block of Stepetz road 53 in White Township.  A 16 year old male had been deer hunting and was located by a member of his hunting party deceased in his deer stand from a gunshot wound. The incident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's office.

Additional Information or Update:

Based on additional information received today, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is now investigating this incident as a suicide.  The incident is no longer being considered as a hunting accident.  The incident remains under investigation.
