New Highway 5 bridge to open this evening west of Linden Grove Township

Construction is wrapping up and the new bridge on County State Aid Highway 5 over the Bear River is expected to open by this evening, Friday, November 3. The road has been closed since late May for the $2 million project. The new bridge is 302 feet long  significantly longer than the previous, 83-year-old structure  making it safer while also addressing the unstable soils that are prevalent in the area.

The new bridge is part of a major improvement to Highway 5 in the Linden Grove area. Lunda Construction is the contractor for the project.
