Incident Summary:
On 10/31/2017 at 0627 hrs. the St. Louis County Sheriff’s
Office received a report of a structure fire involving a detached garage at
4055 Fairview Rd in the City of Rice Lake. Deputies, Rice Lake Fire Department,
Canosia Fire Department, Air Guard Fire Department, and Lakewood Fire
Department responded.
Upon arrival, responders found a large pole barn-style
garage fully engulfed in flames. An adult female and two adult males were
safely evacuated from the adjacent residence with no injuries. Fire department
personnel successfully contained the fire to the garage and suppressed the
fire. At 0826 hrs. the fire was declared out.
The garage suffered significant damage. The residence suffered minor
damage due to radiant heat.
The State Fire Marshall was contacted for origin and cause
determination.
