Incident Summary:

On October 7, 2017, at approximately 4:05 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a motorcycle accident with injuries in the 3500 block of HWY 77 in Tower, MN in Greenwood Township near Lake Vermillion. Mike had been traveling Northbound on HWY 77 when his motorcycle left the roadway and collided with a road sign and  mailbox.  Mike sustained non-life threatening injuries.  He was transported to Essentia Health-Virginia by ambulance for treatment.   The Tower Ambulance Service , Virginia Ambulance Service, Greenwood Township Fire and First Responders, MN State Patrol, MN DNR, and Breitung Township Police Department assisted at the scene.  Speed and Alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
