Incident Summary:

On August 10th 2017 at approximately 4:20 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a water emergency at the Park Point Recreation Center. The caller reported an adult male and his juvenile daughter were swimming in that location and were in distress.  Shortly thereafter the swimmers could not be located in the high waves. 

At approximately 5:15 PM, the juvenile female was pulled from the water and transported by Goldcross Ambulance to Essentia St. Mary's in Duluth. 

The adult male was later located by first responders.  Unfortunately, the two victims were deceased.  The matter remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
