Incident Summary:

On July 29, 2017 at approximately 1:29 AM the St Louis County Sheriff's Office along with the Crane Lake First Responders and Orr Ambulance Service were dispatched to Handberg Marine at 7123 Handberg Rd. in Crane Lake, MN for a boat accident with injuries.   The boat that was occupied by Rutchasky and the Sokoloski's had been underway on Crane Lake when it struck a rock point East of Hanberg Marine.  They were able to "Limp" the boat back to Handberg Marine where they were treated by the Crane Lake First Responders and transported by the Orr Ambulance Service to the Cook Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  The accident remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.  Nighttime operation and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in the accident.
