INCIDENT INFORMATION:

The St. Louis County Sheriff's office received a report of a Train vs Road Grader accident near the above location. Deputies responded to the area and located the crash and it was determined that the driver of the road grader had died as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is ongoing at this time and identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. Further information will be made as the investigation progresses.

The victim of the crash has been identified as 67 year old Walter William MAKI Jr.  from Hibbing, Mn. The crash remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
