Incident Summary:
On March 28th, 2017 local fire departments responded to a structure fire involving an outbuilding in the 4900 BLK of HWY 33. Upon arrival the outbuilding was determined to be fully engulfed. The fire was quickly contained however the structure valued at $60,000 was considered a total loss. The homeowner reportedly went inside the detached home after doing furniture work with a metal grinder. It is believed that a hot ember from the grinder ignited the fire. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
