Incident Summary:

On February 21, 2017 at approximately 1347 hours, a St. Louis County Corrections Deputy was making his rounds at the Virginia Jail when he noticed an unresponsive male collapsed inside of his cell.  Medical Personnel were immediately dispatched to the jail.  Efforts were made to revive the male.  Those efforts proved unsuccessful and the male was declared deceased.  The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is investigating this incident along with the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.  Foul play is not suspected.  The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
