Incident Summary:
On February 14, 2017 at approximately 5:00 PM, the Virginia Police Department took a report of a stolen motor vehicle from their city. At approximately 8:00 PM, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office located the vehicle traveling Southbound on HWY 169 near Chisholm. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Chisholm PD initially stopped the vehicle near Kitzville outside of Hibbing. The vehicle then fled from the stop and squads pursued the vehicle at slow speeds heading Southbound on HWY 169 and over the Mitchell Bridge. A St. Louis County Deputy utilized the Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) to end the pursuit. Neither the Deputy nor the driver sustained any injuries during the pursuit. The lone female driver was arrested and faces charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle, and Driving After Revocation.
