Incident Summary:
On 11/27/2016 at approximately 1641 hours, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office received a report of a residential burglary in progress in the 5900 block of Trigstad Road, Aurora, MN. The victim had arrived home to find an unknown van in his driveway and a male inside of his garage. The male fled in the van, pursued by the victim in his vehicle. The victim lost sight of the suspect vehicle but managed to obtain a good description of the suspect and the vehicle. As a result, St. Louis County Sheriff's Deputies were able to identify Dylan James DEWHURST as a possible suspect.
At approximately 2027 hours, a St. Louis County Sheriff's Deputy was checking an address in the 4100 block of Highway 99, Aurora, MN, for DEWHURST. While checking that address, DEWHURST drove into the driveway with the same vehicle suspected of being involved in the burglary. DEWHURST was taken into custody without incident. Several items inside of the van were identified as being stolen in the burglary at 5900 Trigstad Road. Dylan DEWHURST was booked into the St. Louis County Jail in Virginia on the charge of Second Degree Burglary.
