St. Louis County Land Atlas and Plat Book updated for 2016
Even with the growing popularity of online maps and mobile apps, many people still prefer to look at a traditional atlas. St. Louis County has updated the county Land Atlas and Plat Book for 2016, and now has copies for sale. The last time the Plat Book was published was in 2012.
New this year, all of the information is contained in one book for the first time. Previously, the county published a northern and southern edition. The purchase price is $25, which is significantly less than in previous years because the Planning and Economic Development Department was able to create the book in-house using the County's Geographic Information System (GIS) and ownership records.
The books can be purchased at five locations: the St. Louis County Auditor’s Office in the Duluth Courthouse, the Auditor’s Service Center at the Miller Hill Mall, the Auditor’s Office in the Northland Office Center in Virginia, the Recorder’s Office in the Hibbing Courthouse and the Commissioner’s Office in the St. Louis County Service Center in Ely.
